I was 2 weeks away from donating a kidney to my daughter Lucy, when she developed Ani-bodies that would cause her to reject the transplant. Unable to proceed, I decided I wanted to do something to help and decided to run The Flora London Marathon in aid of Kidney Research UK. In the hope their research will help others who may suffer from the same sort of challenges in the future......

Up until this point I had led a completely normal life and so it came as a great shock to both me, and the rest of my family when we were told the news.
